We’re hosting a range of virtual events to provide information and support to people experiencing UTIs, their families and healthcare professionals. Our UTI Information Nurse is here to help and, together with other experts, will be providing valuable knowledge to manage and prevent UTIs. You will be given the chance to engage with experts in real-time and get your questions answered.

“Menopause – A Conversation About Bladder and Vaginal Health”

Summary: Join us for a practical and informative webinar where we’ll dive into Bladder and Vaginal Health during the Menopause. Our UTI Nurse Helen will be joined by our guest Kathy Abernethy.

Our webinar will explore Bladder Health, Prevention of UTI’s and Vaginal Oestrogen, there will be an opportunity to ask questions to either Helen or Kathy. 

Special guest: Our UTI Information Nurse, Helen Lake, will be joined by Kathy Abernethy MClinSci RN.

Kathy Abernethy MClinSci RN is Director of Coombe Menopause Clinic and ‘the menopause course’, an educational programme for nurses. She was Founding Clinician at Peppy Health, bringing personalised menopause support through workplaces. As former Co-Lead of a long-established NHS Menopause service she has extensive clinical experience working with women at and after menopause. Past Chair of the Society she contributed to the British Menopause Society handbook on menopause management and is a registered BMS Specialist, current Trustee and Medical Advisory Council Member.  Her book for women: “Menopause: The One Stop Guide” was Highly Commended in the BMA Book Awards 2019.
