Mini Projects Fund
Applications can be submitted for patient benefit projects. This could be for audits, pathway improvements, information leaflets or materials for example.
The fund is open to urology trainees, consultants, nurses or allied healthcare professionals working within the field of urology in the UK or Ireland.
The maximum award available is £1,200.
APPLICATIONS CAN BE MADE AT ANY TIME AND ARE CONSIDERED ON A ROLLING BASIS.
To apply, please include the following information on hospital or practice letterhead (no more than two sides of A4):
- Your name, your current title and role, your professional or trainee registration number and/or your professional body
- Name/address of the institution where the project will take place
- What question/issue is the project trying to resolve and why is it important
- What beneficial impact would you anticipate this having on urology patients
- Patient & Public Involvement (PPI) so far or your plans for PPI
- Full budget and costings. (NB: maximum award available is £1,200).
Alongside the above, please provide:
- A letter of support from the head of department or supervisor
- A current curriculum vitae (pertinent details only – maximum of two pages)
The final application documents should be sent as one PDF to grants@theurologyfoundation.org.
Successful applicants must start their project within a six-month period of the award letter. If they do not, The Urology Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the award. Grants are not transferable.
No individual can receive an award for more than 2 years in a row. (i.e. if you have received an award in 2024 and 2025, you will have to wait until 2027 before applying again).
