How to apply
To apply, please include the following information on hospital or practice letterhead (no more than 2 sides of A4):
- Your name, your current title & role, your professional or trainee registration number and/or your professional body.
- The name and location of the course/conference and the dates you wish to attend.
- The reason for attending and the benefit that would be derived from attendance, i.e.
- why you think this conference would help your development (highlighting aspects from the academic programme)
- how attending this conference will help the department
- how attending this conference will help urology patients.
As well as the above, please also include:
- A letter of support from the head of department or supervisor
- A current curriculum vitae (pertinent details only - maximum of 2 pages)
The final collated application documents should be sent to Louise at ldewinter@tuf.org.uk.
Successful applicants must start their trip within a six-month period of the award letter. If they do not, TUF reserves the right to withdraw the award. Grants are worth up to £500 each and are not transferable.
Criteria for funding
All applications will be circulated to TUF's peer reviewers for consideration and a decision should be received within three weeks. In the event of over-subscription, the following criteria will be taken into account:
- Attendance at a conference directly related to your speciality
- The potential benefit that would be derived from the course/conference
- Preference will be shown to those who may be presenting a research paper funded by TUF
Reporting and Payment
Payment of the grant will be made after the trip has ended and is dependent on TUF's receipt of:
- A satisfactory report on the trip, and
- Copies of all relevant receipts.
