Education Grants for Nurses

We believe urology nurses should have opportunities to enhance their skills and practice and to increase their specialist knowledge, ensuring they are best placed to improve patient treatment and care.  We also believe career advancement goals should be supported, and further education may open up specialist urology nursing positions in oncology or stones, or roles such as advanced nurse practitioner and urology nurse clinician.

Thanks to a generous charitable donation we have a number of Urology Nurse Bursaries worth £2,000 each to use towards gaining additional qualifications.

We are also grateful to the Charles Reynolds Foundation, who are generously supporting 2 Nurse Bursaries this year, enabling us to support even  more urology nurses in their training and development.

There are a number of courses available, and the British Association of Urological Nurses (BAUN) have a list here: https://www.baun.co.uk/education/urology-courses

As an example, Edge Hill University run a number of courses at Foundation, PGCert and Master’s levels:

NB: In addition to the above, we would also be happy to consider other urology nursing courses on offer throughout the UK and Ireland.
