Gift Aid is a government-run scheme that allows The Urology Foundation to reclaim the tax that you have already paid on your donations. It means that as a UK taxpayer for every £1 you give TUF the charity can claim an extra 25p. In other words increasing the value of your donation by a quarter at no extra cost to you.
Once you have given us permission to do this on your behalf by filling out the Gift Aid Declaration section when you make a donation, there is no need for you to do anything else. We can then reclaim the tax on donations you’ve made to TUF in the last four years as well as any future donations.
Allowing TUF to claim Gift Aid on your donation will make a big difference into the strides we can make in the fight against urology disease. By increasing your donation by 25%, at no extra cost to you, we could invest more into cutting edge research that will find new and better treatments urological diseases like bladder cancer and kidney stones. We could also support more urologists and nurses through vital training and education courses so they can continue to give the best care to their patients.
If you stop paying tax any future donations made to TUF will no longer be eligible. Please let us know your change of circumstance so we can update our records.
If you are happy for The Urology Foundation to reclaim the tax on your gifts simply tick the GiftAid box when you next make a donation. Alternatively you can download a GiftAid form and return to us by post.
To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains must at least equal the amount The Urology Foundation, or any other charities or CASC’s, claim in the tax year. Other taxes, such as council tax and VAT do not qualify. If you are unsure whether you qualify for donating through Gift Aid, or would like more information, visit this page.
