Our stories

Urology conditions affect 1 in 2 of us over the course of our lives. Each story is often one of significant personal challenge, medical excellence, and supported recovery. By sharing your experience, you help us better understand the realities faced by those living with urology diseases—and together, we can drive meaningful change. We’d love to hear your story.

How can your story make a difference?

Urology diseases can affect people’s lives in profound, sometimes devastating ways. Yet, behind each case is often an account of significant personal challenge, medical excellence, and supported recovery.

By sharing your individual stories, The Urology Foundation is able to campaign for change that will make a difference to people both now and in the future. Individual stories can really bring to life the challenges people are facing and can help make the case for change. The Urology Foundation is committed to listening to people with urology diseases and working towards change that makes a difference for you.

A patient story resonates with people because it is authentic and because it makes the information about symptoms or the conditions very real. No longer abstract information, people now see a person like themselves, or their loved ones and take notice. A story can provide an insight, hope and support for those going through a similar experience.

Who do we want to hear from?

The Urology Foundation is the only UK charity that works across all urology diseases. We are keen to hear from anyone who has experience in urology conditions about their experiences.
