Urology Awareness Month 2026

Every September, Urology Awareness Month shines a spotlight on urology diseases.

There are many urology diseases. From the urology cancers, including – bladder, kidney, prostate, penile and testicular cancers to the benign conditions including incontinence, urinary tract infections (UTIs), erectile dysfunction and kidney stones.

This awareness Month is an opportunity to bring together the urology community – from researchers, urologists, nurses and allied healthcare professionals, influencers and decision makers, to patients and their families – and all those with an interest in urological diseases.

Throughout the Month we highlight stats and facts on urology health and share new videos and resources, deliver webinars, hold roadshows and health and wellbeing sessions, organise events and fundraising activities. There are lots of ways you can get involved and support the Month.

Urology Awareness Month 2025

The theme of Urology Awareness Month 2025 was ‘Bladder Leakage: Time to Act’.

Urinary leakage is a huge issue, affecting many areas of urology health. Our 2025 Urology Awareness Month campaign was driving real action by:

Raising awareness of the impact of bladder leakage
Supporting patients and their families by sharing practical information, providing a platform for them to be heard and encouraging open conversations
Facilitating opportunities for the wider community to come together to highlight this important issue and drive meaningful change

We highlighted the significant and growing challenge to the UK of bladder leakage and called on people to act now to make a change.

From prostate cancer, testicular cancer and all urology cancers to bladder issues, erectile dysfunction and kidney stones, we urged males to recognise when something’s not right below the belt and ‘Be a legend’ – speak out to get help
