Benefits of volunteering

Make a difference

It is estimated that 1 in 2 people will be affected by a urological condition in their lifetime. By funding vital urology research, training and education we work so that fewer lives will be devastated by urological concerns such as kidney cancer, male infertility and incontinence. We couldn't do this without the support of our volunteers who help us with our fundraising events, reviewing our medical information and much more.

Gain work experience

Volunteering provides you with the opportunity to develop key skills that can be applied in the workplace including team work and communication skills.

Improve your CV

Use your volunteer experience to stand out from the crowd. Your experience as a volunteer will help demonstrate your passion and motivation to make a positive difference. You may have identified a skills gap on your CV and a volunteer role at The Urology Foundation could provide the opportunity to address these.

Meet new people

Not only will you be working with the core members of the TUF staff but there may also be the opportunity of working with or meeting the people TUF funds and other supporters.

Build confidence

Volunteering can be a real confidence booster as you turn your hand to things you may not have experienced before and mix with people from different walks of life.
