Alex Corbisiero

England and Lions rugby star, and now NBC commentator, Alex Corbisiero spoke out in March this year about his diagnosis for testicular cancer.  Now in November 2020 he has spoken openly and eloquently about his second round of treatment as a result of cancer being discovered in his lymph nodes.

Alex is keen to use his experiences to raise awareness about the disease, ensuring that men get the message to check themselves regularly and to get seen by their GP a.s.a.p. if they feel any changes.

TUF has details on how men should check themselves on our campaign page “TUFNutsTuesday” here https://www.theurologyfoundation.org/news/437-tufnutstuesday-testicular-cancer

In addition, Alex is raising funds in order to support a future TUF funded study into testicular cancer.   To see his see his fundraising campaign page CLICK HERE     Particular areas of interest to Alex are whether there is a familial risk to the likelihood of getting the disease, as both his father and uncle also suffered from testicular cancer, and looking at alternative treatments to chemotherapy.
