TUF Trials Unit (CHaRT)

The Centre for Healthcare Randomised Trials (CHaRT) collaborates in high-quality randomised controlled trials, providing expertise in trial management, data processing, statistics, health economics and health psychology.

After a competitive application process, CHaRT was selected to support the TUF Trials Unit when it launched in 2021.

The TUF Trials Unit has generated new, large-scale national clinical trials into kidney and prostate cancer surgery that will change clinical practice in the UK and across the world.

The unit receives pump-prime funding from The Urology Foundation to provide multi-disciplinary support to develop study protocols and grant applications in urology. This approach enables more high-quality urology trials to take place, leading to better care, quicker recovery times and fewer long-term issues.
