Steven was a Conservative MP for 14 years and a Minister of Transport for nearly five of them. He is a former Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party and was twice his party's candidate for Mayor of London. He is currently Chairman of a number of companies including Soho Estates, Driver Group plc and Future-Built Ltd and a non-executive director of a number of other quoted and private companies. In public life he is Chairman of the National Infrastructure Planning Association and President of the national telematics trade body, ITS (UK).
Steven Norris was Chairman of The Urology Foundation for six years and in October 2014 stepped down and agreed to become a patron.
Steven is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of East London.
