Our Supporter Promise

The Urology Foundation is completely dependent on the generosity and kindness of our supporters to fund our crucial work in urology research, training and education. Every donation we receive helps us continue our fight against urology disease and it is because of this that we are committed to fundraising in a clear and honest way.

We owe it to people who are, or will be, at risk of dying prematurely or suffering from urology disease to ask for donations. Therefore we see it as our duty to maximise our income at every opportunity and make supporters aware of alternative ways to extend their support of the charity.

As a supporter of the charity you are at the centre of what we do and we believe that donating to us should be a rewarding experience. That is why we make this promise to you:

To be open and honest

  • To be clear about where your money goes and why we ask for donations.
  • We will provide information about our finances and our charitable spend so you can see the difference you’re making.
  • We are committed to keeping you informed about the impact your gift is making in the fight against urology disease.

To protect your data

  • We take protecting your personal information seriously.
  • We promise never to sell or share your data with a third party organisation.
  • We will only ever contact you through the methods you have given consent for us to use.
  • You can contact us at any time to change the way you hear from us, or if you would like to opt out of future communications.

To be respectful

  • We recognise that it is your decision to support The Urology Foundation. We will not put unnecessary pressure on you to make a gift.
  • If you do not wish to donate, or no longer want to continue with a planned gift, we will respect your decision.
  • If we become aware that we are engaging with vulnerable people, we will be particularly sensitive to their needs and our practices will reflect this.

To be accountable

  • We promise to do all we can to ensure that our staff, fundraisers and volunteers comply with all fundraising regulations and this promise.
  • We will always provide easy ways for you to contact us and our team is on hand to help answer any queries you may have.
  • If you are unhappy with anything we’ve done you can contact TUF to make us aware of a concern or a complaint. If we make a mistake we will apologise and do everything we can to put things right.
